I find that tarot is a really interesting way to learn new vocabulary. The explanations and the flavor text that often accompany a card teach you a lot of descriptive vocabulary that can help you express your thoughts and feelings. You definitely do not need to believe in any mystical powers to take advantage of the pictures and ideas that are encapsulated in the cards.
Today’s article comes from the “Kaarten Sterren” website, which has a lot of great vocabulary for Dutch learners. This article is longer and a bit more advanced than some of the other texts I work with, but you’ll learn a lot.

General
The Fool is the child within you and represents wonder, receptiveness, naivety and a carefree zest for life. He stands for the chaos from which all that is new arises and for carefree openness, free from prejudices. The Fool is the carefree one, full of innocence and purity and is still completely blank. When The Fool presents itself, you often enter a new area of life with amazement and without expectations. He can also point to idiotic, wonderful and special events or irresponsible behavior. The Fool points to innovative experiences that usually have chaotic features but that, even if you fall, do not entail any real danger. The power of the Fool lies in trusting your instincts, which protects you from the greatest dangers. Driven by curiosity, your path can then lead to higher goals that are not yet seen.
Work
In your work, the Fool indicates that you are at the beginning of a new assignment or that you are entering new areas of work. You do this without prior knowledge but with great curiosity to learn. You are also prepared to open yourself up to everything and to familiarize yourself with the new tasks without reservation.
Love
In relationships, the Fool is mainly known for his lively, cheerful side. Here too, he can point to irresponsible behavior, but usually it is a reference to a joyful, uncomplicated and carefree togetherness and playful adventures.
